Another week, and the days are all starting to blur together. We’ve been binge watching the Bon Appetit YouTube channel lately. Its highly entertaining, and has given us a lot of food inspiration. Our baby boy has also discovered the stairs, and wants to climb them all. the. time. I guess its about time to break out the baby gate!
One of the things I love about DC are all the unique venues around the city, and Mess Hall does not disappoint. If you’re looking for an industrial space, this is definitely one to consider.
From the photographer: If I could draw up just a few words to describe these Emilia and Spencer, authentic, chill, and FUN are the ones I’d pick! Emilia and Spencer were legally married on the Gold Coast of Australia, where Emilia grew up, so their downtown urban wedding soiree was a gorgeous second ceremony (and party!), officiated by one of their best friends!
We started the day just the three of us, exploring the monuments in downtown DC, and took our time grabbing photos of Emilia and Spencer at some of their favorite spots! We visited the Capitol, Washington Monument, DC War Memorial, and finally, the National Arboretum.
The venue for their ceremony and reception was the gorgeous Mess Hall, in Northeast DC. Nestled in one of the hippest neighborhoods, Mess Hall has an effortless cool-kid vibe, from the urban loading dock ceremony space to the upscale graffiti on the outside of the building, to the minimalist warehouse interior… I was obsessed with it all!
