Somehow I survived the last two weeks. I did that thing I always regret: had back to back wedding weekends, and had my daughter’s birthday AND birthday party, in between. Somehow I am still standing (well, technically I am sitting .. but I REALLY need to get out the door and run 8 miles as soon as I finish this post). I cannot believe it’s May (already 6 days in to be exact) and I have a feeling that these next few months are going to literally FLY by. Though I don’t have another wedding until July, there’s 2020 prep already to be done (we have inquiries starting to come in and have already booked TWO 2020 weddings! WUT?!), plus we have two family vacations coming up … my birthday is the end of the month … Evie will finish out her FIRST YEAR OF SCHOOL and Conrad will turn 1 … all in the next few months.
WHAT IS HAPPENING GUYS?!!?? OK, but enough about me and my insane life. Let’s get to today’s GORGEOUS Virginia engagement session & love story (that’s been sitting in my drafts folder for over a week – gah! sorry!). Happy Monday all!
From the photographer:
I had the honor and privilege of being asked to video and photograph this amazing couple!
I have been there from the beginning- Branisha talking to me about how she really wanted to meet someone. I remember when she did tell me about meeting Bernard, and pretty quickly into the relationship, she realized that he was the “one.”
I was so excited the day that she texted me over a picture of them in the car the night after he proposed to her at the Virginia Beach Ocean Front, right on the water.
We started getting excited about her special day- planning the engagement session- the photos and more!
The week of the shoot came and we were tracking the weather. It called for rain. We looked and looked for a local place that had a good vibe for inside photos. Fortunately, the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk was free to shoot inside.
They showed up with their gorgeous outfits – Branisha with a sequin dress and Bernard with a thin pink tie with matching socks.
They were glowing the whole time that we shot- so full of love and laughter.
