We had a pretty nice weekend despite the weather. We tried to get ALL THE THINGS done on Saturday (cleaning up the spare room, tracking down Conrad’s missing birth certificate, laundry … oh the laundry), and spent too much time watching both Fyre Festival documentaries. I thought we were going to get rain on Sunday, but was pleasantly surprised to sneak my 6 mile run in before the wind got too bad in NE DC. We got to visit my sister & her husband and only get marginally mad that the (stupid) Pats are in the Superbowl again. All in all, a good weekend, with a bonus day to catch up on my inbox, some CapRo business housekeeping & find time to BLOG.
For today we have a super cute engagement session & love story at the National Cathedral. Let’s get to it.
Natasha and Mathew met 8 years ago on August 2, 2010 at the Art Institute of Washington in DC. Natasha was studying Photography and Mathew was studying Special Effects in Media, both of them not realizing that when Mathew asked Natasha to borrow change for the copy machine inside the school library that it would turn into a relationship that would grow them both as individuals and as a couple.
On January 8, 2018 Mathew came home after being away for 6 years surprising Natasha with a proposal that was planned a year in advance. Not telling Natasha when we was coming home, Mathew had roses sent to her work with a card that read “Today is the day you have been waiting for. It will be the day you will never forget!! Yours Truly xoxoxo” With a decorated living room covered in rose petals, candles and Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One” playing in the background, Mathew proposed to Natasha and after countless tears and endless hugs she obviously said YES!

Away for six YEARS? Is that a typo or is there a story?
