There is a lot to love in this simple, modern backyard wedding but I think the bridesmaids wearing jumpsuits, might be my favorite detail. I say that as a lover of jumpsuits (as I currently sit at my desk in one). But there are so many details to love in this completely personalized wedding: the choice of venue location, the inclusion of family heirlooms, & so many other choices that made the day completely theirs. You’re going to enjoy this one.
Jenn’s advice on planning a wedding: “plastic cups are okay – people just break glass and make the dancing stop to clean it up. Don’t be something you are not. We are plastic cup kinds of people.”
There was something just extra special about Jenn & Andy’s wedding. They chose to get married at a vitally important place in their lives, which was the home they bought from Andy’s grandfather to start their lives together, and it just so happened to be absolutely beautiful and perfect for a wedding. They chose it because they are going to get to look out at their backyard every morning and be reminded of their wedding day – that’s something that not many people have.
Each and every moment of the day was filled with thoughtfulness and sentimental details. Every moment of their day was touching. Jenn wore an heirloom family diamond from Andy’s grandmother and she included her personal details at every corner. Suffice it to say, EVERY time Jenn and Andy looked at each other on their wedding day, you could see how deeply in love they are, and I think that’s the best any of us could ever dream of.
Jenn designed this whole wedding herself, and she even did the calligraphy herself as she grows her budding calligraphy business. Every little detail was thorough and planned so beautifully. There was an eye catching detail everywhere you turned! She basically planned the dreamiest wedding, down to the Bridesmaids’ JUMPSUITS, the second reception outfit, and the late night Jimmy John’s subs.
Her favorite part of the planning process was telling Andy her over the top ideas and then talking herself down from them and that’s how she realized exactly what she wanted and was therefore able to realize who they are as a couple and making the day theirs.
