An intimate brunch wedding at my new favorite spot in Alexandria, Virginia, Virtue Feed & Grain! Angie & Chris’ wedding was simple, but beautiful and it was a perfect match to their beautiful love story. Brunch weddings are totally my favorite (breakfast food is the BEST, just ask Leslie Knope) and their ceremony in a park in Alexandria was so gorgeous! Check out all the details below!
From the photographer: They were friends first, but Chris knew he loved Angie from the very beginning. Through time, he won his girl’s heart and they celebrated the start of their new life as husband and wife at an intimate gathering in Alexandria, Virginia. Chris walked his precious little girls down the aisle as they showed off their stunning floral crowns. He waited with anticipation as Angie made her way from the left side of the gardens, past their elated guests, to catch the first glimpse of her best friend and husband-to-be.
From the Bride:
I wanted a neutral color palette that would fit our rustic theme. In essence we didn’t really have many colors we used since we had no wedding party. the colors we chose were romantic and soft and added a nice touch to our garden rustic wedding.
Chris’s childhood friend Eric acted as our officiant. We didn’t want to use someone we didn’t know and had no real affiliation with a church. Having Eric as our officiant made it even more special since Chris officiated Eric’s wedding just a few months before.

We didn’t have a wedding party, mother/son dances or assigned seating. We wanted more of a party than a wedding. We chose brunch since it is our favorite meal and it gave us plenty of time to have an after party.
The mason jars used for the flower decorations were made with burlap and twine by the bride and groom. Also, the favors were custom made beer that Chris and I made at a brew on premise company. This added a nice personal touch.
