I am so relieved that nothing crazy happened on Saturday with the rally at the Capitol, and all the other events happening around the city over the weekend. Though I’ve nervous that we’ll see the H St Festival was a super spreader event, setting us back again. Fingers-crossed that’s not the case. But by the looks of the pictures I saw on social media, the crowds looked pretty big, like the before times :( On a lighter note, I’m excited for my parents’ visit this week, and for them to get to hang out with Charlie again. Now I just need to find some time to clean!
Let’s get your week started with some engagement inspiration with this rustic and romantic picnic proposal.
The inspiration was to show the romance that Texas Hill Country can be. Simple, but beautiful – a quiet little oasis in the middle of the Hill Country. We loved the lush greenery surrounding the rustic architecture of the wine cellar. A small stream flowed in the background behind the trees, adding to the ambience. We chose pink, purple, cream, and light blue set the mood, and the chandelier hanging above the picnic table added to the romance.
We also wanted to show that proposals and engagements are often more precious than the couple’s wedding photos because they actually have time to be themselves during an engagement shoot, without the demands the wedding brings.
