I am so glad its Friday, and a long weekend at that. It has been a week since I had the crazy idea to start potty training a couple days ago. This is not for the faint of heart, and I feel like I need a beer all hours of the day. I’m hoping with Justin’s extra set of eyes and hands this weekend, I’ll get a little reprieve, and hopefully things start to click for Charlie. I hope your week has been less messy, and you’ve been able to enjoy the beautiful weather the last couple days. We’ll get the weekend started with this eye-popping, purple and pink styled shoot!

We had a blast showcasing all the little details that go in to weddings, and it felt very much like a micro wedding day. We tried on crowns and dresses, had a mock happy hour that turned in to a real happy hour. We shared many laughs, and it was an experience that didn’t feel like work. It truly embodied the spirit of what a wedding day really should be.

We wanted to do something bold and a little unconventional. We felt like purples and pinks are often highlights but not usually the focal point. That bold color palette was our jumping off point that we built the rest of the shoot from.

Katrina and Tarrell married in this space 5 years ago at a time when the venue had a reputation for not treating couples well. The venue is now under new ownership, and we wanted to show the venue for what it is now; fun, bold and vibrant! What better way to do that than with a couple that actually walked those aisles 5 years earlier, whose marriage is still thriving!
