Last night I had my first wedding consult (in person – masked, and outdoors at a distance) in OVER A YEAR. I was rusty, but also, the glimmer of “normalcy” was refreshing and I am looking forward to actually knocking some of these weddings off our list that have been “in the works” since 2019. These poor couples …
More and more good vaccine news, I am just hoping it’s enough to combat the variants and rising cases. Most of my family as at least one shot down, and I get to see my brother and his wife & kids for the first time in OVER A YEAR this weekend. So … little wins I guess. Happy hump day all.
I was also the designer for this shoot! I wanted it to be a fall theme because the venue I selected had this gorgeous ivy that changes colors in fall. I actually used to work at a floral shop, and I love foliage, so I wanted that to be a big part of the florals. The part of this shoot that was the most special to me was that the bride is wearing my wedding dress. A few days before the shoot I had my dress vendor cancel. Luckily the bride (who is also one of my dearest friends) fit in my dress perfectly! This was my first styled shoot I planned since I had formed my company and it will be one I will never forget. I love that it has such a great story and meaning behind the dress.
