I’ve felt so ‘blah’ lately. Anyone else? I think it partly has to do with March creeping in, and realizing we’ve been in this pandemic for almost a year. But today’s warm and sunny weather is helping, and today’s wedding is bringing those spring and summer vibes.
Our theme was simple, timeless, and romantic. We chose the colors white, green, and hints of gold because we felt like it would resonate through time, and all future wedding styles. It’s simple, but through thoughtful placement of pieces, accents, lighting of candles, and backlighting, the tone of the room immediately shifted to a romantic, dim-lit-transe.
We chose our venue because it was a hidden gem with a breathtaking aesthetic. We love the outdoors, and wanted something that would have our guests enjoying such a stunning view in the comfort of air conditioning during the summer. We handpicked our vendors because we felt that they could do the best job in making our vision reality. From the photographer, to the hand picked flowers, the gorgeous cake, unmatched DJ, and quality of service from The River View, Omar and I were able to fully be present in the wedding without a single worry.
We had a professional Arab dance team for the grand entrance and dinner performance. Our entrance introduced each immediate family member, and then broke out into drumming, singing and dancing once Omar and I entered the room. Without our family and friends, this wedding wouldn’t have been possible. Our mothers and sister were our right hand women in every decision. All of our siblings spoke at our wedding (4 total), making it so special and intimate.
