Well the snow was almost MORE dissappointing than I thought it would be. I don’t know why we EVER get our hopes up around here. Any other day, the temperature goes DOWN after 3pm EST, not up … but alas on “snow” days in DC, the temp hears snow and just races right towards rain temps. It stinks!! Our kiddos got about 15-20 minutes of play time (just enough to make ONE snow angel).
Meanwhile we are careening towards Christmas and I still have a few gifts to buy, lots to wrap, and our Holiday/New Years cards to get out the mail! Hoping that wasn’t the last of the white stuff we see this winter.
From the planner: Betty and Mike were so easy going and loved putting all of the details of their wedding together. Since Betty is a registered nurse and Mike is a doctor, they are used to making lots of quick decisions, so they were a breeze to work with! They went with a fall inspired color palette and built their florals around lush autumn greens. Their menu focused on fall favorites as well including a warm carrot souffle and seasonal stuffed chicken.
They wanted to have their ceremony at the Dahlgren Chapel at Georgetown University since the groom went there, but the day of their wedding we had to navigate around the World Series Parade as the Washington Nationals won the Series and it closed many of the city streets. In the eleventh hour we juggles vendors, informed guests of the logistics and secured last minute transportation to safely get the guests to the church on time! It was for sure a day to remember in every way!
