It’s Friday. Tomorrow is Halloween. The anxiety from the election next week is attempting to over-take every fiber of my being, but I am trying HARD to quell it with the Hogwarts at Night puzzle my husband got me recently. It’s helping, but also it’s all I want to do now. Help, I am a puzzle addict.
Evie is SUPER excited for Halloween (we’re going as The Incredibles) and I am thankful that we can somewhat celebrate this holiday with a semblance of normalcy. We will be outside and properly-masked up and eating more candy than we should and staying up later than bedtimes, but at least there will be some joy and some friends and some neighbors and again .. a small feeling of non-pandemic living times.
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend. VOTE. DONATE. PHONE & TEXT BANK IF YOU CAN (I plan on texting all weekend and helping out at a local DC Councilmember campaign at a voting location on Sunday). Let’s let this Harry Potter themed wedding taking us to the Halloween weekend.
Harry Potter is my favorite fandom of all time and I knew i just had to do a styled shoot to honor that. I read the books when I was little, and as an adult.
I really wanted to make sure it screamed HP without looking cache. I wanted to focus on the house colors. They are all jewel tones and look amazing together.
Nancy, from Neoclassic Designs, made wands out of chop sticks for the tables as well as for everyone. Floating candles were my biggest must have. Everyone who worked on this project did an amazing job helping me bring my up scale HP wedding vision to life!
