I’m still in denial that it’s already August. Time seems to stand still and fly by, all at the same time. While I’m incredibly grateful that we remain to have our health, and have not been financially impacted by the pandemic, the emotional rollercoaster has not subsided. One thing I am looking forward to though is my sister-in-law and niece visiting for a couple days next week on their way down to NC. I’m excited for our son to get to hang out with his cousin, and interact with another kid for a change. And it will be nice to just see some family again.
Today’s engagement session is also bringing a smile to my face. Their picnic setup is dreamy, and making my mouth water, and they are just radiating love and joy!
Ashley first noticed Dave over 6 years ago when he was working at a Champs shoes store. Dave, ever the sneaker enthusiast was selling a pair of shoes to her brother. After noticing they had mutual friends they began a flirtatious friendship over Instagram which later bloomed into the fun and carefree relationship they have today.
To propose Dave wanted to make sure he planned something meaningful. Dave originally asked Ashley to be his girlfriend in front of the Ferris wheel at the Ocean City pier. It was there that he decided to propose. So on a chilly November day last year Dave drew a giant heart in the sand on the beach. With the Ferris wheel in the background he got down on one knee and asked Ashley to join him in creating a new “forever”.
The couple had originally planned for springtime engagement photos but COVID-19 pushed their plans back to this summer. The idea for a summer evening picnic seemed like the perfect way to celebrate being in the great outdoors enjoying each other’s company.
