Another Friday upon us and man we worked a bit harder for it this week. I always figured the week before vacation (especially losing childcare for the end of it) would be hard, but man it was even harder. Conrad took a tumble into a pond up the street (he’s OK! but the STRESS from getting THAT text was something else) and then we noticed someone stole our beloved RadWagon early Wednesday morning.
So yeah, other than the 8 hour car ride we face tomorrow (with a toddler that HATES the car and a 5yo who often gets car sick), I don’t think we’ve ever needed a vacation more. Family, a break from working AND parenting non-stop, a full conversation with my partner … I can barely imagine it. And yet again, we are still the privileged ones in all of this.
So, with that – Happy Friday to you all and with this INSANE humidity in DC, this Fall styled wedding shoot has me feeling ALL the cool air feels. We’ll be off next week (seriously unplugging!) and back after that!
