Happy Friday! I’m still settling back in after being away for about 3 weeks for the holidays, so I’m happy to have a long weekend to really catch up, and get our babe back on a good sleeping schedule.
Speaking of travel, we’re sharing Heather & Doug’s travel-themed nuptials today. Traveling plays such a big role in their relationship, and I love how they embraced the theme with so many personal touches for their wedding day.
From the photographer: Heather & Doug had an incredible day at Bristow Manor last summer! Their day was set around a succulent, vintage travel themed day to honor their love of traveling to lots of countries! The couple chose muted purple flowers and green succulents, accented with gold throughout their day bringing a bit of their relaxed Californian aesthetic to their traditional Bristow Manor venue. They chose Bristow since it was near their hometown in Virginia where they had grown up and met!
They’ve criss-crossed the globe and had their passport stamped multiple times together, and are so excited for their newest adventure of married life.
They brought their own California, laid-back, rustic style with succulents and muted pastel florals to their native Virginian roots, breaking out their Capitals jerseys for the reception, to honor celebrating the big win with their friends!
The reception decor had vintage suitcases, a globe for their friends to sign as their guestbook, “in-flight snacks,” and each table included a nod to countries they have visited together! A lot of their reception details were completely DIYed!
