This weather is SUCH a bummer. I am already over the humidity and daily storms and it doesn’t look like the weekend is going to be any better. Well, at least that gives Andy & I motivation to stay indoors and really get to work on the nursery! For today we have a super sweet & simple Maryland wedding, taking place at the Kentlands Mansion – I am pretty confident the bridesmaids are wearing the same shade that I will be donning for my sister’s wedding this October (5 months to go!!). Succulents, loads of family involvement, and so many smiles, a perfect Maryland wedding feature!
For Linda and Brian, their wedding was truly a celebration of love, commitment, and family bonds. Linda and Brian grew up just across the cul-de- sac from each other but they didn’t realize they were destined to spend their lives together until much later.
In true family affair fashion, both families had a hand in their special day! From Linda’s older sister doing the hair and makeup, to her beautiful wedding cake and cupcakes personally baked by her other sister, to Brian’s sister planning the layout and logistics of all of the decorations, and Brian’s mom making the ceremony arch – you can see the love and support for this couple in every aspect of the wedding!
Linda’s design inspirations came from nature, “I really love the rustic look. I love the contrast of the rigid structure from the geometric terrariums and the unique shape of the succulents. The globes [on the ceremony arch] were actually hanging terrariums.”
Linda wanted to have everyone represented, including her handsome son, “The Lego Batman actually belongs to my son, Aiden. Everyone who knows me knows Batman is my favorite superhero!”
