Well today is certainly a gloomy one now isn’t it? Yesterday was SUCH a nice break in the ungodly heat we’ve been having lately. Evie and I went on a (slight pathetic) run in the morning and then a walk with Sadie later. It was nice to escape the couch at any rate. For today we have a beautiful, modern & more traditional wedding to share. This one features bold purple & teal colors, and gorgeous couple, Eileen & Heather. I loved how they said their wedding was “surprisingly” very traditional. And even though it apparently POURED on their wedding day – you’d never know with the smiles on their faces.
From the photographer:
Heather and Eileen had my heart once we were strolling through the woods during their engagement session, singing tunes from the Sound of Music. Then the day finally was here! The ladies decided to ready themselves together, and then separate for the finishing touches. Eileen and Heather wanted to do a First Look, and we were able to find an out of the way hallway with a background that matched their dresses perfectly!
The weather gods were not being nice that day. Even though it looked like a beautiful day, the wind was – blow you down – crazy! The outdoor ceremony had to be moved inside, but who cares?! It’s the freakin’ Four Seasons and you can’t go wrong anywhere! All worked out as it was meant to be and it was perfect. There was no way to hide the looks of ecstasy when they had their first bite of cake! The delicious cake was from Sugar Bakers. Yummmm. Now you know, “Come on Eileen” had to be on the playlist.
From the Brides:
We have a few interesting parts of our ceremony including and oathing stone ritual, a wine box ritual, and our guests will be holding “wishing rocks”. We did “hand make” the centerpieces, the wine box, and the favors.
