Keeping things chic today with this modern purple wedding from Travis Curry Photography [submitted via Two Bright Lights]. I’m not always down with the Georgetown weddings [they don’t often fit the bill of offbeat/budget-friendly] but this one felt a bit different.
The couple are high school sweethearts [we know I have a soft spot for those] and the couple kept a lot of personalized touches and traditions in their wedding that reflected their personalities – so I thought it still fit into a “capitol romance” worthy wedding feature. Oh also – I don’t think I will ever stop loving purple weddings. It’s just such a good color on everyone and everything!

Their ceremony:
One of the themes of Jess + Tyler’s ceremony was to plant a memory, during their ceremony they planted a tree that symbolized their young love that will continue to grow into a strong, lifetime bond.
The production of this wedding was quite elegant, the best part was that both families were so thankful toward all of the vendors of the day.
At the reception, Jess’ father, Steve thanked all of the vendors for their hard work and dedication to make the day so special.
From the photographer:
As a photographer, I loved shooting all of the elegant details, from the gorgeous flowers, Jess’ family pearls (which have been worn through generations of weddings), special notes and little quirks that symbolized who Jess and Tyler are as people and a couple.
Congratulations Jess & Tyler ~ thank you for sharing your beautiful modern, Washington DC wedding with us! A special thanks again to Travis Curry and Two Bright Lights for making this real wedding feature possible.
