I will not lie – I am DRAGGING this morning. I partied a little too hard at my belated birthday shindig on Saturday night and now my allergies seem to be reeking retribution on me for it.
Luckily, once I get through the Monday Morning Fog and actually START blogging again, I always being to feel instantly better. Smiling faces, beautiful pictures, excited couples – with SO MUCH LOVE, I mean what else could get you motivated on a Monday morning? This morning we have a newer Washington DC wedding photographer to our blog. Everyone say “hi” to Mokazi Photography & enjoy this beautiful DC engagement submission [via Two Bright Lights] thanks to Mo!
Ali & Meshal’s Capitol Building & Glen Echo Park Engagement Session
From Mokazi Photography:
Meshal and Ali came packing with smiles! Like most couples, they were first nervous about the engagement shoot, thoughts running through their mind; How is this photographer? Will I have to pose and will it be too awkward? We also wonder; Will the couple be outgoing? Will we have to make cheesy jokes to make them smile? What if our jokes are too WHACK?!?
We quickly gave them the pop corn cups (we bought from the party store) and filled them with pop corn (microwaved from home since their pop corn stall isn’t up and running there). I told Ali that he should try to throw pop corn and try to catch it, one at a time. As he started, we pretended not to be looking, so they can become comfortable.
Everything went quickly at Glen Echo then we drove down to Great Falls for a few shots of the sunset and once we were done, we stopped by Glen Echo for a few more shots before making our way to Washington DC.

Congratulations Meshal & Ali – I cannot wait to see how your wedding comes together! A special thanks again to Mokazi Photography & Two Bright Lights for making this Washington, DC & Maryland engagement session feature possible!
