Believe it or not – sometimes there are couples out there that don’t really care all that much about every single detail, design, or color involved in their wedding. Some couples want things simple and really just want to be married.
Sometimes, I find this refreshing – that a couple’s only goal when it came time to plan their wedding, was to be married. And that is why I wanted to share this beautifully down-to-earth, Jewish wedding courtesy of Jessie Mary Photography. As a wedding blogger, I know that readers love looking at wedding details – but sometimes those overly styled weddings can become exhausting and even sometimes depressing [as you attempt to out-detail & out-design everyone else]. So much focus is put on the details of the day – that you might forget the reason for the party … oh yeah – your marriage!
Really guys, that IS the whole point of a wedding – to be married, and to share the celebration with your family and friends! So for today I am sharing Rachel & Bill’s Washington, DC wedding at McLean Gardens – full of beautifully understated design, touching Jewish traditions, and a whole bunch of LOVE.

McLean Gardens might be one of DC’s best kept wedding venue secrets! Look how gorgeous this place is, and I heard it’s actually pretty affordable! This chandelier with branches is gorgeous.

This is simply beautiful. I agree it can be overwhelming seeing detail after detail at weddings so this is really refreshing ~ I loved seeing the ceremony traditions too!
