Attempting to get back into the swing of things with a lovely Cherry Blossom engagement session from Capitol Romance, Washington DC wedding photographer favorite, ZADesignz [submitted via Two Bright Lights]!
From Zareth:
This sweet engagement session was taken at the tidal basin area during the cherry blossoms in March. The pretty pink background was the perfect setup for this romantic couple. They hugged and hugged and kissed and you can see how much chemistry they have.
Erin & Brendan’s Cherry Blossom Engagement in Washington, DC
About the couple:
Brendan and Erin met at a sorority date party at the University of Delaware over 7 years ago. They began dating after several years as friends, and now call North Bethesda, MD home where they have been happily living for 3 years now.
Brendan is a defense industry analyst in Maryland, while Erin is an ESOL teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools who is also currently working toward her Master’s degree in School Counseling.

The proposal:
Brendan took advantage of the miraculous 4th of July fireworks on the National Mall last year as his backdrop for proposing to Erin. He hid the engagement ring inside a stuffed penguin, but pinned a simple mood ring to the wing in order to throw her off his trail.
When she eventually discovered the presence of something hidden inside, he exasperatedly explained that it must have been a squeaker commonly found in their dog’s toys.
Once the ruse was finally uncovered, Brendan proposed during the fireworks finale in front of countless numbers of surprised and elated spectators.
Congratulations Erin & Brendan! Looking forward to your Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding in August! Thanks again to ZADesignz & Two Bright Lights for sharing this beautiful Washington, DC engagement session!
