Melissa, Luis & A Christmas Tree Farm

Happy almost Christmas!!!

After featuring that adorable Christmas Tree Decoration Love Shoot by Abby Grace Photography a couple weeks back, I thought the perfect way to spend my last post before the Holiday [yes, I will be off from posting tomorrow & Monday … but back on Tuesday!] would be with an adorable couple, who had an adorable Christmas Tree Engagement shoot & actually had a Christmas time proposal story too! Thanks to the amazing Helen John Photography for sharing these beautiful images!

About Melissa & Luis:

Melissa and Luis met at Havana Village nightclub in DC. She was out with her coworkers from Black & Veatch and it was one of her first nights dancing Salsa (many to follow). Luis asked her to dance, she said yes. They danced a few songs together while Luis was teaching her to dance (he’s an expert salsa dancer, at least in Melissa’s eyes). As she was getting ready to leave the nightclub, she ran into Luis again, and he asked for her phone number. He called two days later, and the’ve been dating ever since!

The proposal story:

Luis asked Melissa to marry him just last Friday! He sent her on a treasure hunt, giving her hints about himself “What do I do every morning when I wake up”, etc.  She found 3 or 4 clues and it led Melissa back to him. Then he pulled the ring out of his pocket and popped the question! She said, YES! Because of the timing of the proposal, they will always remember Christmas as an extra special time. Their photographer was even able to squeeze in a last minute Christmas-themed engagement session at a Christmas tree farm right by the house that Melissa grew up in – so special!

I think this one is my favorite – it reminds me of a Hallmark commercial for some reason. and I really like it.
