Ok, wait.
Before you assume that I am suggesting a Katy Perry song to be used in your wedding, keep reading.
For starters, this is actually my friend Abby Grace Photography’s song suggestion for today (hi Abby!). Her and her husband used this awesome, alternative song for their wedding ceremony.
Now, for seconds, although it actually is a cover, the Katy Perry song, is an acoustic version by rock group Boyce Avenue, with some lyric changes:
Let’s just talk all through the night
There’s no need to rush
We can dance, until we die
You and I, will be young forever
“Talking all through the night” is a bit more wedding-appropriate than Miss Perry’s “let’s go all the way tonight“. So yeah ~

YAY! I’m so glad you used this song for a post! People think I’m nuts when I tell them we used “Teenage Dream” for our first dance, but them they hear the song and are like “ooooh, I totally get it now!” Thanks, Bree! Love these posts.
I love it. Alex (fiancé) loves Katy Perry (not just for her vocals) and I would LOVE to have this song at my wedding coming up!
Ooh love it!! Good call Abby!! The lyrics are WAY better – no mention of getting drunk on the beach, making forts out of sheets, his hands on her skin tight jeans… SO much more wedding appropriate. And pretty!!
Absolutely love this!!! My fiancé and I were actually thinking of using the glee acoustic version for our first dance, but I was a little worried about some of the lyrics. This is perfect!!!
