Today’s engagement session is a goodie for a few reasons. First, the bride’s name is so unique, I adore it! Second, this is the first engagement shoot I have seen in this location in the Washington, DC metro area, so naturally I am all about it. We all know how I love unique and different e-shoot locations in this city. Third, it comes from a photographer’s whose blog I have been stalking for a while now! And, finally, fourth it was made possible by Two Bright Lights!!
So the plane in this picture might give away the location, but the reason why they chose Reagan National Airport (and the surounding areas) is just too fun not to share:
From Amie Otto (the Photographer!):
When I found out that Oleira and Scott met while working at Boeing, I instantly knew where I wanted to do their engagement session. I knew about the parks around Reagan National Airport where you can see the planes at an alarmingly close distance while they are taking off and landing and I had always wanted to go there for photos. And now, I had the perfect couple for it! We met up at Gravelly Point Park in Virginia, before heading over to Georgetown. Oleira’s daughter also joined us, which I loved, and we got some great photos of the soon-to-be-new family together!
I need to echo Amie’s feelings – I, too, think this location is just PERFECT considering the couple met at Boeing. Also, I just love the inclusion of Oleira’s daughter in the shoot. What a spectacular way to include her in the new family circle! Amie’s photography skills are awesome ~ so I warn you that I had a hard time narrowing down the pictures she sent me. This is a picture-heavy post … you’ve been warned!
This feature was made possible thanks to Two Bright Lights
